openSE aims to build a community of software engineering learners, past and present, who can support each other whilst following courses and working on open source development projects.

An important part of this, as well as asking your own questions, is sharing your knowledge and supporting other learners. The more you contribute to openSE, the more you will get back. We urge you to get involved.

This can be achieved in the following ways:

*Visit the [http://www.opense.net/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=224 forums]. Introduce yourself, ask questions, answer questions, make suggestions, have a chat!

*Set up chats in the [http://www.opense.net/index.php?option=com_jpfchat&Itemid=226 online chat space], advertise them in the forums.

*Keep your project details in the [http://opense.libresoft.es/wiki/index.php/Main_Page wiki] for others to browse and comment on.

*On completion of your project, upload it to the [http://www.opense.net/index.php?option=com_sobi2&Itemid=218 learner projects directory] for others to view and learn from.

*Place resources in the [http://www.opense.net/index.php?option=com_docman&Itemid=227 downloads] section.

* Rate the course you are following and the learner projects you read – let others know your opinions about how things can be improved.

* Suggest improvements and additions to the self-help materials and guides provided in the learn@opense area.

* Use the feedback tab on the left-hand side of the site to suggest ideas and improvements to the openSE site.
